Bleach Filler Arc Begins in April with New Opening and Ending
Aizen’s evil plan has been foiled as our hero Ichigo has overpowered the deceiving maniac with his Final Getsugatensho! With Ichigo’s final blow to Aizen in episode 309 and a follow-up and tie-up of a few lose ends in episode 310, the Bleach anime has essentially caught up to the Bleach manga. The difference between the anime and manga? Only about 18-20 chapters!
Back in 2005, a similar scenario with our beloved Naruto had unfolded, as the Naruto anime came quite close to the events of the Naruto manga. The result was almost two years of fillers – May 2005 to February 2007 – in which Naruto fans coined the phrase “Naruto Filler Hell”.
Well, anime fans, it’s time for a new kind of hell, Bleach Filler Hell! The general consesus is Bleach fillers are better then Naruto, but at the end of the day, fillers are fillers and in no way progress the main storyline of the series. We’re not sure exactly how long these fillers will last, but if Naruto is any indication, it’s likely we won’t see any episodes following the manga for quite some time.
With that said, it’s time to look at the Bleach fillers we will be getting. The last few Bleach episodes have been basically one-shot episodes. However, starting in April 12th, a Bleach filler arc begins – the Gotei 13 Invading Army!
